NewLYFE Policies
NewLYFE is a group designed to be a friendly and encouraging atmosphere for young adults to join together in weekly fellowship. This document will explain our policies and procedures for how the group will be run.
Tuesday Group Time Management
- Each LYFEGroup meeting will start no later than 7:15 p.m. and will end by 9:00 p.m.
- With certain events, exceptions to these start and end times may fluctuate.
- “High’s and Low’s” will be reserved for after the lesson in conjunction with prayer requests.
GroupME Policies & Procedures
- The purpose of the GroupME is to share announcements, prayer requests, meeting times, ideas, and questions.
- The GroupME will be monitored to ensure that no unacceptable or inappropriate comments are recurring in the chat. If unacceptable comments are found, a leader will reach out to the party to remind them of group policies. If the behavior continues, consequences will be discussed, with possible removal from the group chat for serious recourances.
- Unacceptable behavior includes excessive sidebar discussions, rude and negative comments, and any other behavior that hinders the intentions of the group.
Member Conflicts
- During group events and weekly meetings, public displays of affection should be limited to what is appropriate in a large group setting. If you wouldn’t do it in front of your grandma, you probably shouldn’t do it during the group :)
- Sidebar conversations during weekly group meetings should be limited out of respect for the leader and the week’s message. If there is a recurring issue with this policy, a leader will be in contact with the party to remind them of group policies.
- Kevin Watkins is our group’s designated “Conflict Resolution Specialist.” If a conflict arises between members of the group, Kevin is happy to moderate a discussion between all parties to resolve any issues. If the issues rise above Kevin’s capabilities, Kelly Stouffer will become involved.
These policies and procedures will be updated as necessary to ensure that goals of the group are being met. If any member of the group violates these policies repeatedly, the member will be removed from the group chat and face other consequences that are deemed appropriate. If you have any concerns about these policies, do not hesitate to reach out to a leader to discuss them further.
